Firstly – lets get our expectations right. Not everyone who tries to make money blogging becomes rich. In fact those who do well from blogging are in the minority of which only determination can make you belong. I’m sorry if this disappoints you – but I’m not here to hype this up or make any promises. It is possible to make money blogging, I am a testimony to that fact  – but it takes a little time to be truthfull  and  hard work – and it doesn’t happen for everyone! Here is why:: I have three blogs- I blog on sports and in another blog I do entertainment and some other news were it is easy to grab traffic and that is where I make upto N13,000 every month from pay per clicks and konga affiliate program. In selling e-.books is my highest source of income when it comes to blogging and the least comes from research.

Including advertisements on your blog is the most obvious way to derive an income from your blogging efforts. Ads can come in the form of text links or banner ads, and advertising options are available that you can easily tap into through pay-per-click, pay-per-post and affiliate programs online. Google AdSense, Amazon Associates, eBay Affiliates and Pay-Per-Post are just a few of the most common advertising programs available to bloggers.

          2. CPM Ads (Cost Per Thousand)

Unlike CPC ads, CPM ads pay per impression. Viewers don't need to do anything for you to be paid. You just need to serve the ad to them. The downside is that you're paid almost nothing for each impression. Rates can go as low as $0.10 per thousand impressions. But it's still a good option to use in conjunction with CPC ads. CPM ads can be placed in less prominent spaces (below the fold) whereas CPC ads should have better position. Most ad networks that offer CPM ads have CPC ads thrown in as well. You can set your own prices and remove unappealing ads.
